At bareaesthetics we use a Derma Genesis Medical Microdermabrasion system. One of the most clinically advanced available for the most effective treatment, delivering optimum results.
The procedure is performed by using a hand piece that the practitioner passes over the skin. This evenly removes the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of skin. At the same time the underlying epidermis is also stimulated by the abrasion and vacum. This promotes new collagen which thickens the dermis and improves resistance to the effects of ageing.
Many will notice improvements in the texture of the skin immediately after the first treatment. However the effectiveness of the treatment depends upon the skin condition, the area to be treated, current skin care regime, and the desired outcome. It is important to combine the microdermabrasion with the appropriate topical skin care and to follow the appropriate aftercare advice which will be explained.
